He revealed to his critics his diet tips and said, “I was on a Campaign Diet for the last 10 years.” He added, “I woke up last year and said to myself, ‘Why am I eating a hamburger a day?’ I started taking a walk a day and drinking black coffee” instead of with cream and sugar. “And ever since I committed to that, and been the better for it.” 

With that, his viewers and followers positively commented on how his new-look brings so much improvement in him. 

Speaking about his campaign diet for 10 years, Costa meant about changing his unhealthy habits and lifestyle that created a significant change in his weight that resulted in shedding off several amounts of pounds.

He started by simply doing the small things - walking and doing another low-intense workout every day, having a cup of pure black coffee, healthy sandwiches instead of hamburgers, glass water instead of a can of soda, or choose a teaspoon of naturally flavored honey instead of teaspoons of sugar.

Since January 2014, he was already seen covering the Congress and White House as a full-time national political reporter who constantly travels throughout the United States of America meeting several voters and elected government officials.

In recent years, his reporting focused on both policy and politics, especially during the 2016 elections where he focused on Donald Trump and Senator Bernie Sanders’ campaign and to the party leaders what faced different issues.

Robert Costa is the eighth moderator in Washington Week’s 50-year history. He started in guesting and appearing as a frequent guest moderator and eventually became the panelist on Washington Week way back in 2104.

He won the people’s praises for his coverage of events like the 2013 U.S federal government shutdown and his several interviews with the U.S. President, Donald Trump.

He spent his younger years in Richmond, Virginia, USA, and attended high school Pennsbury High School in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania where he was recognized for his social skills and flair for journalism.

Robert Costa will be remembered in high school for his ability to bring top musicians like Maroon 5, John Mayer, and Eve 6 to perform at school events.

It was also during his high school years when his journalism skills were enhanced. He started as a reporter in “The Bucks County Courier Times”, where he interviewed musicians and bands, and reviewed big concerts in the Philadelphia that made him earned up to $50 per article. He continued and earned his Master’s degree in Political Science at the University of Cambridge in 2009 that made him an active member of the Cambridge Union debating society.
