How did Maneet Chauhan lose so much weight?
Maneet Chauhan's weight loss journey became an inspiration to many. The ultimate secret she revealed to her smart weight loss is having "moderation" in everything. For her, weight loss is simple math.
"It’s simple math: If you eat less than you burn, you lose weight," she said in an interview with Parade.
Aside from having a weight loss diet, the famous chef also made importance about her fitness. She made sure to achieve 10,000 steps a day no matter what she is doing or where is. She also manages to keep 1,200 calories a day by being mindful of what she eats. Of course, she cannot do a super strict or restricted type of diet such as paleo or keto since she eats for a living. For her, depriving one's self of food would be a bad choice to lose weight. The best way, as she says, is to have a balanced meal with small portions with everything that you want.
In the interview, she revealed how her work routine cannot stop her from getting fit.
"Now it’s seeped into each and every facet of my life. If I’m at the airport and the lounge is over there, I’m like, 'No, I haven’t done my steps.' So I walk from one end of the airport to the other with my suitcase. Even at breakfast, there’s a croissant over there and there’s a boiled egg, and I know I’m going to have a big dinner tonight, so let’s stick to the boiled egg. The mindless eating ends."
Also, she emphasized how important her influence is to her kids, especially her lifestyle. She achieved her weight loss not just because of herself but importantly, to give her children the benefits of her weight loss, too. Maneet is already a mother of two, whom he sees as the most precious things in her life.
"t was important for me to be healthy not only for the way I look or feel but also for the message that I was sending to my kids. I was telling them it’s OK to be overweight and not take care of yourself, and that’s not the message I want to send them."
The 43-year old chef also uses diet meal plans and calculations to achieve the 40 lbs lighter figure. She used an online application food diary, MyFitnessPal, to track her calorie intake. This is the same app that YouTuber Behzinga uses, too. Moreover, Maneet Chauhan also cut off her sugary items out of her diet. As she said, if there are a boiled egg and a croissant for dinner, she would choose the boiled egg over again to prove her mindfulness in her weight loss diet.
